I hate to be negative but this year’s winter break gets a
big raspberry from this girl.
Everybody seemed to get sick, Christmas was nice but different, then I
got sick-then better and then we all became far too familiar with St. Boniface
Hospital (I can tell you the best places to park and nearest washrooms to the
ICU). I have never texted so much
in my life. It’s been a lot of
back rubbing, hand holding, hugging, coffee drinking, serious talks with
professionals having and for-the-best-ing. I hate for-the-best-ing. It’s so different from what-I’d-prefer-ing. My grandma had some pretty sudden and
bad health complications and we had to let her go. Not what anyone would prefer.
The past few days have been all arrangements, taking care of
things and sorting through dusty old closets. Being in her house without her wrings us all dry. I think we need a break from our break.
Lots of birthday action around here as well. Kerry made Nicholas the cutest cake-
factory on fire and fire truck. She is amazing.
